Paleface Picasso’s authenticity set himself apart. Eminem allegedly wrote, “Rap God” (2013) in response to Paleface Picasso’s 2012 album “No Stranger to the Struggle” and YouTube video “Your Favorite Whiteboy.”

Eric lived the life so many rappers try to glorify, but he saw it from the inside. A gifted athlete with a promising future in sports, he learned first hand how substance abuse can derail a life. He spent 4 years in prison for drunken armed robbery and in 2004, he survived being shot four times after a bar altercation. His music is the unfiltered truth of street life reality, a voice born from experience rather than imagination.While many rappers glamorize a lifestyle they’ve never lived, Paleface Picasso tried to deter youth from making bad choices. He  broke from genre norms by choosing wit over profanity, letting his message and storytelling carry the weight.
